Extra Magic Time

Extra Magic Time is the new name for Extra Magic Hours at Disneyland Paris. This new offering allows Disney Hotel guests and some annual passholders access to the Disney parks at 8:30am each morning to experience selected attractions and a wide range of character meet and greet opportunities. But how can you best take advantage of this exclusive time in the park?

What is Extra Magic Time?

Extra Magic Time runs from 8:30 – 9:30am each morning in both Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Park and allows you to experience a selection of attractions before regular guests. Basically, you can do many of the most popular rides without much of a wait!

There are also Disney characters, but this are in Disneyland Park only and not in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

This new offering replaces the previous Extra Magic Hours which was offered until 30th September 2017

Who can access Extra Magic Time?

Extra Magic Time is open to all Disney hotel guests (Davy Crockett Ranch, Hotel Santa Fe, Hotel Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club, Hotel New York and Disneyland Hotel) as well as annual pass holders with an Infinity, Magic Plus, Dream or Fantasy pass.

To access, simply show your Hotel Easy Pass, blue DIsneyland Paris charge card or annual pass to the Cast Members managing park entry. And that’s it, you’re in!

Can I meet characters during Extra Magic Time?

Yes! But only in Disneyland Park. Extra Magic Time is the perfect moment to take a picture and create amazing memories with your favourite Disney characters. They will be located on Main Street USA and in the Princess Pavilion during Extra Magic Time and will be with minimal queues!

Which park and attractions should I choose?

This very much depends on your priorities. If you are a fan of the Disney Characters, then Disneyland Park will be the park you should be heading towards. During the day character queues can get quite long and so it is always handy to be able to tick off some early in the morning.

If you are a fan of thrill attractions, then the Walt Disney Studios park is the obvious choice.especially as it will offer the chance to ride Crush’s Coaster with a reasonably small queue. However, make sure you get to the park gates early and head straight to Crush as even during these exclusive ride times, that queue can get very big, very quickly. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster does not suffer this fate and can be ridden at most points of Extra Magic Time without too much of a wait.

Can I have breakfast in the park?

Yes! The Plaza Gardens restaurant on Main Street offers a character breakfast buffet. This is extremely popular and so booking is strongly advised (either at the time of hotel reservations, or 3 days before by calling the dining reservations line on +33 1 60 30 40 50). Breakfast options also include the Market House Deli on Main Street.

In the Walt Disney Studios Park, a hot breakfast is served at En Coullisse) in Disney Studio 1 at the entrance of the park.
