If you love the Disney characters and are in Disneyland Paris on a Sunday, then the Inventions Sunday Brunch is probably going to be your idea of heaven. For 3 hours each Sunday, the Inventions restaurant in the Disneyland Hotel becomes the ultimate character playground with rare characters, characters you know and love in rare outfits and some delicious food.
For those who have experienced the event before, it can be a highlight of their Disneyland Paris holiday, but it’s often difficult for first-time guests to figure out what Brunch is, how to book it and what happens once there. But, it’s all incredibly simple, if you know how!
What is Sunday Brunch?
Quite simply, it is a Sunday lunchtime meal at the Inventions Restaurant in the Disneyland Hotel. It takes place each Sunday between 13:00 and 16:00. The meal has special appeal thanks it its weekly themed character dining which separates it from a standard meal (lunch or dinner) at Inventions. Each week takes on a different theme ranging from Lilo and Stitch, to Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland meaning that each time you visit, you’re likely to have a completely different experience.
In addition to rare and special characters, you will also get the VIPs (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, Pluto, Chip and Dale) in special outfits each week as well.
Unfortunately, there is now no way to find out themes in advance of the Brunch; each meal will be a surprise to guests, but there are no bad themes and so you’ll always have a fun experience.
How to book and how much does it cost?
The Inventions Sunday Brunch is priced at €79 and includes the full buffet lunch, a glass of champagne or non-alcoholic apéritif and all the Disney characters. Special brunches may well have a small price mark-up (for instance, New Year, Easter Sunday, Halloween, Christmas etc.).
Places can be booked 60 days in advance on the Disneyland Paris dining reservations phone line (+33 1 60 30 40 50). It’s a French line and so international calling fees will apply when calling from abroad.
Make sure you do book at that 60 day window as Brunch is incredibly popular and does fill up extremely fast. Try to book a 13:00 sitting, and you can enjoy the full brunch.
What can I expect?
The Inventions brunch is quite a busy affair. For a 13:00 booking, make sure to arrive around 12:30 so that you can maximise your time at the meal.
Once sat down, you will be offered a complimentary glass of champagne or orange juice, you can then immediately head to the buffet or enjoy the characters.
From a food perspective, you have a very wide choice of starters; main; fish and deserts. The food is all of an excellent quality and is an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Characters will come to your table in turn and work in alternative sets for 30 minute periods; you may well need to stick around for all 3 hours in order to meet all the characters.

Who will get the most enjoyment from the Brunch?
If you are a huge Disney character fan, you’re going to get a lot out of the Brunch, it’s an enjoyable way to meet any of your favourite characters without having to queue. You’ll have to be a fan of Disney in general now that brunch themes are no longer announced in advance.
A family with children may also get quite a lot of enjoyment from the Brunch, but your children may need to have a good attention span as there can be a lot of waiting around for the next characters.
Can I visit with a meal plan?
Yes! However, you will need to pay a top up fee which will be dependent on which level of meal plan that you have.
